Web Design Tips for Small Business

Web Design Tips for ComplexityAs the owner of a small business, you may be overwhelmed by the complexity of today’s Internet. There are numerous social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.  While Google still dominates the search engine space, Microsoft’s Bing is gaining ground. How do you navigate this complexity?

Here are some web design tips that will help your small business to thrive online:

Tip Number One
Centralize all of your content onto your website. You might be tempted to post this snippet on Twitter or that snippet on Facebook, but your best bet is to make sure that all relevant information about your business is posted on your website.

Tip Number Two
When you do post to social networking sites, make sure you link back to your website as often as possible. This way, you are driving visitors to your site where they can interact with you. Also, be sure to use your full web address, not a hidden or shortened one.

Tip Number Three
Make it easy for your website visitors to interact with you. It should be very clear to the website visitor what the next step is. If you sell things online, make it easy for them to buy. If you provide other, more complex services, make it easy for the visitor to get in touch with you.
